50th Polish Feature Film Festival – A Celebration of Cinematography in Gdynia
For the ninth time, we had the privilege of being a Partner of one of the most significant events in Polish cinematography – the 50th Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia. This exceptional event gathers film enthusiasts, producers, cinematographers, directors, and actors, serving not only as a platform for creators but also as a true celebration of the art of film.
During the Young Gala, we had the pleasure of presenting the Heliograf Special Award for Best Cinematography in the Short Film Competition. The award for BEST CINEMATOGRAPHER went to Szczepan Lewandowski for the film „Zza szyby podglądam, jak umiera sarna, młoda”. The award was accepted on his behalf by director Angelika Cygal. The Heliograf Special Award is granted by the votes of the Young Gala Jury and consists of a tangible contribution in the form of lighting and camera equipment from our rental service, to be used in future film productions. In this way, Heliograf supports young cinematographers and contributes to the development of Polish cinematography.
35th Anniversary of Heliograf
The year 2025 is particularly significant for us as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of our family business. Thanks to the presence of our Guests at the festival, we were able to commemorate this anniversary in a unique way at the Del Mar Restaurant. We appreciate all the wishes, gifts, conversations, and your presence.
During our 35th birthday celebration, an exhibition featuring the first ten black-and-white photographs of actresses and actors by Damian Hornet Andrzejewski was presented. In cooperation with Heliograf, in our Studio Helio, using our light, Damian produced portraits of 35 heroines and heroes for the “35 Heroes” project in tribute to the people of cinema. Damian Hornet Andrzejewski is creating a unique series of portraits of artists, referencing characters from Hollywood films. The 35 HEROES project, consisting of 35 frames for Heliograf’s 35th anniversary, serves as a tribute to the people of cinema who, often unseen, create films to provide the world with an escape from daily struggles. During the exhibition’s opening, one of the works will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the “SŁONECZKO” foundation.
As a Partner of the 50th Polish Feature Film Festival, Heliograf was responsible for the professional lighting of the Red Carpet at the Closing Gala. Thanks to our Nanlux Global and ARRI lights, all creators and actors looked magnificent on the Red Carpet, creating an ambiance worthy of the festival’s anniversary edition!
